Four Pillars of Competitive Strength
PILETA’s competitive strengths
Domain expertise and national R&D capabilities
Our experts bring 10–20 years of experience in the energy and aerospace sectors, and our diagnostics and assessment engineering division works as one with our corporate R&D center. We have carried out numerous government-funded R&D projects for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR), the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE), the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), and have established cooperation frameworks in the defense sector.
Accredited testing capabilities
Our testing laboratory is accredited by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) under Accreditation No. KT921, with a scope of accreditation covering 25 test items, and we are certified to ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management). KOLAS is a signatory to the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA), which facilitates the acceptance of accredited test reports in other signatory economies. Capabilities include tensile and creep testing, low- and high-cycle fatigue testing, elevated-temperature testing, thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) testing, and Vickers and Rockwell hardness testing.
Owned facilities, equipment and data
A company-owned facility of approx. 3,540 m², with nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment (50 units), microstructural analysis equipment (25 units) and mechanical testing equipment (35 units). We have also built a superalloy materials database.
In-house digital solutions
BSE (Boiler Safety Evaluation) for life assessment, HRSG DAS, PIMP (PILETA Intelligence Materials database Program) and an enterprise data integration system (PiletaDAS, PiletaMDM and PiletaSSO) form an end-to-end in-house platform, from diagnostics to prognostics.
