In operation at the PILETA Test & Evaluation Center
Developed and operated in-house, the platform is applied to the day-to-day operational workflows of the PILETA Test & Evaluation Center.

PIMP (PILETA Intelligence Materials database Program)
An integrated materials test data platform that automatically collects Excel results from test equipment, stores them in a database, and carries the data through analysis and report generation. Now officially launched, it supports five test types: tensile, creep, low-cycle fatigue, fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth rate.
System Components
A distributed architecture in which the server, equipment and analysis clients each operate independently.
Central server
Equipment client
Analysis client
Supported Test Types
Standard calculation logic for each test type is built into the platform.
| Code | Test | Automated analysis |
|---|---|---|
| TS | Tensile testing | Automatic calculation of ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield strength (YS) and elastic modulus (E) |
| CR | Creep testing | MPC Omega method / log-log analysis |
| LCF | Low-cycle fatigue testing | Fatigue life curves / cyclic loading analysis |
| FR | Fracture toughness testing | C(T) / SE(B) specimens · KIc calculation |
| FC | Fatigue crack growth rate testing | da/dN · curve fitting per ASTM E647 |
Automation Pipeline
In the distributed architecture, each equipment client operates independently, and every step from data collection to report generation runs automatically.
What Sets It Apart
Folder monitoring and Excel parsing eliminate manual data entry.
Automates the calculation logic for each test type, including da/dN curve fitting per ASTM E647.
Developed by PILETA Co., Ltd., whose laboratory is accredited under the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS), the platform reflects real-world testing workflows and connects to the Enterprise Platform (MDM, SSO) through a digital thread.
Impact
By automating and standardizing test data processing, PIMP makes the flow from testing to reporting faster and more consistent.
Automates and standardizes test data processing, eliminating manual work.
Shortens lead times across the entire process, from testing to analysis to reporting.
Turns accumulated test results into a reusable materials database.
In the Field
Developed and operated in-house, the platform is applied to the day-to-day operational workflows of the PILETA Test & Evaluation Center.
The official launch of PIMP was reported in the press, which described it as an AI-based materials testing platform.
